Edna Richard, 91, of Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton, passed away on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Notre-Dame, NB, she was the daughter of the late Zoel and the late Evangeline (née: Bourgeois) Melanson.
She is survived by three daughters: Germaine (Guy) Goguen of Dieppe, Maria (Rick) Wilson of Riverview and Sylvia Cyr (Mike Simmons) of Springhill, NS; one son, Edmond (Helene Cormier) of Notre-Dame; two sisters: Geneva (late Joe) Boucher of Saint-Antoine and Dora Melanson of Shediac; one brother, Camille of Shediac; eight grandchildren: Paul, Michel, Nicole, Dolland, Dylan, Jordan, Dominique and Stephen; four great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by the father of her children, Gerard in 2014; one sister, Rita and also by four brothers: baby Normand, Aurele, Maurice and Gerard.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 9:30 am until time of departure.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
