Yolande Richard, 87, of Residence Oasis, Dieppe and formerly of Acadieville passed away on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Rogersville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fidele and the late Cecile (née: Doiron) Richard.
Mrs. Richard was employed as a teacher for 2 years at École Pineau and also worked for l’Institut Feminin, both in Acadieville. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and gardening and also had a passion for quilting and crafts. She was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and Immaculée-Conception parish in Acadieville.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eric; three daughters: Yvonne Richard-Babineau of Saint John, Andréa (Adrien) Martin and Joanne (Louis) Babineau, both of Dieppe; four sons: Roger (Carmelle) of Acadieville, Gilles (Lucia) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; Jean-Louis (Catherine) and Valmond (Lucie), both of Acadieville; five sisters: Huguette (late Florian), Julia (Gerry), Francine (Bobby), Florine (Raymond) and Carmella (Ronald); one brother, Alcide (Claudia); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Zita and also by two brothers: Ernest and France.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Immaculée-Conception Roman Catholic Church, Acadieville on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at 11 am.
Interment in the Parish Cemetery, Acadieville.
