Leandre Surette, 73, of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Leger Corner (Dieppe), NB, he was the son of the late Philias Surette and the late Olympe (née: Allain) Surette-Bourgeois.
Prior to retirement, Leandre worked as a school bus driver for 34 years with District #1. A former businessman; he operated Surette Grocery, Surette Trucking and Auto Body Work. He was an avid NASCAR fan, # 3 Dale Earnhart being his favourite driver; he also followed car races in the USA, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. He enjoyed travelling with his motorhome in the USA. Leandre was a member of Sainte-Thérèse parish.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diana (née: LeBlanc).
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his step-father, Leo Bourgeois.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 at 11 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
