Elodie (née: Gagnon) Gautreau, 94, of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe and formerly of Fox Creek passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton with her family by her side.
Born on July 8th, 1923 in MacDougall Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and the late Livonie (née: Cormier) Gagnon.
She attended Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church.
She will be missed by nine children: Edith, Romeo (Roberta), Marie (Rolland) Bourgeois and Hervé (Jackie), all of Dieppe, Norman (Linda) of Memramcook, Aline, Paul (Pauline), both of Moncton, Marcel (Lana) of Cornwall, ON and Roger (Simone) of Greater Lakeburn; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: May Gagnon and Elizabeth Gautreau; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alyre; six brothers and sisters: Delphis (Marguerite), Zephyr (Ella), Elisban (Florida), Albertine (Patrick), Stella (Billy) and Henry (May).
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm ONLY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 at 9:30 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation, Heart and stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
