Denise Chiasson-Landry, 63, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Maria (née: Bourque) Chiasson.
Denise, a gentle and kind person, had worked at the Dr. G.-L.-Dumont Hospital and attended Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption.
She is survived by four sisters: Francine (Gérald) Gautreau of Moncton, Gloria (Allan) Hudson of Cocagne, Cecile Chiasson (Paul Gallant) of Moncton and Marcia (Eugene) Goguen of Cocagne; one brother, Paul (Marie) Chiasson of Moncton; one step-daughter, Vanessa (Joey) Parent of Dieppe; one step-son, Christopher Landry of Ontario; one step-grandchild, Alexi; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was also survived by Norbert’s family, of special mention, her sister-in-law, Mai Weiss, with whom she shared a very close friendship.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norbert in 2010 and also by one young sister, Marcia.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 9 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Pierre Parish Cemetery, Cocagne.
