Viola Roy, 77, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and the late Zélia (née: Caissie) Collette.
Viola had volunteered many years at the Dieppe Boys and Girls Club. She was a member of Saint-Bernard’s Parish.
She is survived by two daughters: Ella (Maurice) Caissie of Memramcook and Peggy Roy of Dieppe; one son, Jean-Joseph (Della) of Aylmer, ON; five sisters: Alida (Gerald) Betts of Lakeburn, Rose-Mai (late Laurie) Fournier, Murielle (Gene) Biddiscomb, Jeanne Richard and Joanne Briggs, all of Moncton; two brothers: Raymond (Shirley) and Bobby (Simonne), both of Moncton; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jean in 2017 and also by one brother, Clarence.
At Viola’s request, no visitation prior to the service.
A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at 10 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
