Donat Arsenault, 86, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Alderwood (Tracadie), NB, he was the son of the late Maxime and the late Hélène (née: Losier) Arsenault.
Mr. Arsenault was former owner and president of Spruce Grove Building Cleaners. He was a veteran of the Korean War, was a member of the Dieppe Veterans and Saint-Anselme Parish.
He is survived by his spouse, Jeanne-Mance Goguen; three sons: Guy (Joanne) of Moncton, Gary (Kim) of Grande-Digue and Patrick (Kathy) of Riverview; one sister, Eva (Allard) Savoie of Val-Comeau; one brother, Guy of Tracadie; nine grandchildren: Mathieu, Alisa, Rachel, Samuel, Jacob, Nicholas, Sadie, Joe and Esmé; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Émilie (née: Ouellet) and also by three brothers: Gilbert, Allan and Alfred.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Friday from 9 am until time of departure.
Prayer service by the Dieppe Veterans will be held at the funeral home at 10:20 am.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe.
