Antoine Daigle, 89, of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Alphée and the late Marie (née: Richard) Daigle.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Daigle was the owner of Acadia Lumber. He served in the Korean War and was a member of Saint-Anselme parish.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alma (née: Richard); four daughters: Mariette Riordon (Charles) of Greater Lakeburn, Giselle Stiles (Gerald) of Moncton, Denise McGillis (Kevin) of Calgary, AB and Ginette Theriault (Ovide) of Greater Lakeburn; three sons: Joël (Caroline), Richard and Jean-Marc (Angela), all three of Greater Lakeburn; four sisters: Antoinette Pellerin (late Emery) of Moncton, Yvonne Gauvin (late Aubin) of Dieppe, Aurore Gauvin (late Wilfred) and Jeannette Leger (Onil), both of Moncton; two brothers: Tilmon (Elmonde) of Greater Lakeburn and Francois (Anna) of Saint-Ignace; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Agnes (late Antoine) and Rosa (late Willie) and also by four brothers: Frédéric (Gervaise), Joseph, Jacques and Clément (Rose-Marie).
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Thursday from 9 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 10th, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme parish cemetery, Dieppe.
