John Cormier, 87, of Dieppe, passed away on Monday, January 28th, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Amedé and the late Dilima (née: Lavoie) Cormier.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Cormier was the owner of John’s Welding, working as a machinist and welder. He was a member of Sainte-Thérèse Parish.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Corinne (née: LeBlanc); two daughters: Linda (Tony) Ward and Louise LeBlanc; four sons: Donald (Marie), Robert, Michel (Denise Caissie) and Jean-Paul (Len Mills); six grandchildren: Janice, Natalie, Marcel, Jason, Benoit and Serge; five great grandchildren: Miquelle, Erika, Jacob, Alex and Maximilian; his brothers and sisters: Camille (Marcha), André (late Odile), Roberta (late Tony), Gloria (late Lawrence), Bernadette (Gaston), Cecile (Sam), Maria (Stanley) and Therese (Omer), as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sister: Patrick, Léo-Paul (Diane), Gerald (Eveline), Joseph (Edna) and Geraldine (René).
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Friday from 7 to 9 pm ONLY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
