Lina Richard, 93, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Lakeburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willie and the late Tilla (née: Leger) Gosselin.
Lina was a long time fiddle player and had been a member of the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers.
She is survived by three daughters: Gloria (Larry) Lemieux of Dorchester, Yvonne (Arthur) Auffrey of Moncton and Roberte (Camille) Caissie of Dieppe; three sons: Maurice of Shediac, Eugene (Lina) and Jean (Claudette), both of Dieppe; one daughter-in-law, Louise Richard of Dieppe; four sisters: Chantal Gosselin of Montréal, QC, Esther (late Morris) Beaman of Riverview, Yolande (Donny) Boudreau of Dieppe and Aurore Savoie of Montréal, QC; four brothers: Paul Gosselin of Montreal, QC, Jean Gosselin, Donald (Denise) Gosselin and Pius (late Laurence) Gosselin, all three of Moncton; 12 grandchildren: Ernest, Charlotte, Bertin, Réjean, Denis, Luc, Marie-Anne, Marc, Chantal, Gaétan, Mélanie and Christian; several great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Gérald in 2014, she was predeceased by three sons: Robert, Yvon and Guy; one sister, Stella and also by one grandson, Jean-Luc.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm ONLY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 9am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
