Maurice Cormier, 63, of Notre-Dame-de-Kent, passed away on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Avie and the late Rita (née: Cormier) Cormier.
He was a welder by trade in his early years and then became the proud owner of Maurice Cormier Glass. He loved spending time with family and friends, cooking and barbecuing. He always kept busy renovating his house, always available when someone was in need and enjoyed the adrenaline rush of his big boy toys of his yesteryears and the outdoors.
He is survived by his beloved, Blanche Collette with whom he spent the happiest time of his life; his cherished son, Jason (Angele); the apple of his eye granddaughter, Janelle; his step-grandson, Logan; his sisters: Brenda (Joanne), Annette (George) and Bernice; his brothers: Omer (Thérèse) and Terry (Marie-Thérèse); the extended Collette family; several nieces and nephews, as well as his best friend, Lucky.
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Paul; nephew, Dennis; father-in-law, Yvon and his sister-in-law, Denise.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 10 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, on Monday, February 18th, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
