At the Dr. George-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Sunday, August 30, 2020, Roger A. Cyr, husband of Paryse (Boucher) Cyr, passed away at the age of 91 years and three months.  He resided in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Born in Saint-Basile, NB, he was the son of the late Béloni and the late Euphémie (Thériault) Cyr.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind a son, Jean-Roch (Françoise Caron), three daughters: Myriam (Scott Morton), Hélène (Mike MacNeill), and Natalie (Karim Kamel), seven grandchildren: Olivier, Maxime, Nicola, Benoît, Patrick, Younès, and Lamia, two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Charlotte, four sisters-in-law: Alvine, Laurette, Reine, and Winnie, as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his three sisters: Anne-Marie, Anita and Donata.

Roger was a loving husband and devoted father.  After a career of more than 30 years as an electronics and communications technician, he devoted himself more fully to his passions: reading, painting, music, running, swimming and, of course, his family.

The family would like to thank the nursing and support staff at the Moncton Residence and the Dr. George-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for their kindness and commitment.

Due to current health measures, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

A donation in Roger’s memory can be made to the Foundation CHU–Dumont, the Donata-Lajoie Bursary or to a provincial charity.

Arrangements entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901).
