Surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 83, Roger Renault of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Friday, March 5, 2021.
Born in Campbellton, NB. He was the son of the late Dominique Renault and the late Isabelle DeGrâce.
He is survived by his wife Camilla, as well as his daughter Sylvie of Dieppe, NB and his son Gaston of Dartmouth, NS; four grandchildren: Isabelle Renault, Sébastien Renault, Geneviève Roy and Gabrielle Roy; as well as several nephews, nieces and many friends.
Having spent his career working for the federal government, he enjoyed travel, sports, carpentry and especially music. For many years he was a member of the Choir Neil-Michaud de Moncton, a choir for male voices, with whom he toured Europe and the Caribbean.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his seven brothers: Leonard, Richard, Maurice, Joseph, Benoit, Guy and Rodolphe; his five sisters: Fernande, Berthe, Évangeline, Yvette and Jeannine.
Due to Covid-19, a funeral service will be held at a later date.
Interment at Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery in Dieppe, NB.
The family wishes to thank the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton 3A and Palliative Care unit as well as the Moncton Residence and the Residence Oasis for the extraordinary care given to Roger.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
