Surrounded by her loved ones, Mona Pitre-Doucet, of Dieppe, previously of Eel River Crossing, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021, at the age of 69.

Mona is survived by her beloved husband, Luc J. Doucet, her four daughters, Stéphanie (Philippe Landry), Geneviève (Mathieu Thériault), Maryse (Jean LeBlanc), Marie-Claude (Mario Légère) and her precious grandchildren: Gaëlle, Raphaëlle, Ophélie, Louka, Calix, Emmy and Lexie. She is also mourned by her sisters Irène (Henri Lévesque), Odette (Claude Sivret), Gisèle (John Nawrocki) and her brothers Guy (Nicole Richard), Daniel (Sharon Crandall) and Gilles (Lise Borris-Pitre).

She was the daughter of late Maurice Pitre and late Ida (Drapeau) Pitre, and was also predeceased by her brother Emmanuel.

Mona worked as a registered nurse assistant for 42 years. She was truly devoted to her work and cared for her patients as if they were her own family.

Mona really knew how to live life. She loved to travel, being by the ocean, and always enjoyed a good meal with friends and family. Mona had a great sense of style, which of course, always included a great pair of high heels to complete the outfit! But what she loved above all was to spend time with her grandchildren, who always made her laugh.

A Celebration of Mona’s Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Tree of Hope or the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre can be made in Mona’s memory.
