Ernest P. Bourgeois, 90, of Moncton and formerly of Notre-Dame-de-Kent, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital.


Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Honoré and the late Justine Bourgeois (Bouque).


Ernest will be sadly missed by his daughters: Monique Bourgeois (Jean-Pierre LeBlanc) of Notre-Dame and Thérèse Donelle of Riverview; his son, Jérôme "Jay" (Nicole) of Dieppe and Marc (Karo) of St-Joseph; his two granddaughter: Mélanie (Serge) and Josée (André); his sister: Rhéa Gaudet (late Omer) of Moncton; his sister-in-law: Rosa of Dieppe; also by several nieces and nephews.   


Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eva (Bourque) in 2012; his siblings: Louis (Yvonne), Thomas (Edmée), Hervé and Sr. Doris Bourgeois.


Ernest retired from NBCC where he worked for over 40 years in maintenance. He was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens.


Due to new Covid-19 regulations, proof of vaccination and mask will be mandatory.

Visitation will be held at Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901), on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 7pm to 9pm and on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 10am until time of funeral service at Chartersville Chapel at 11am.


We, the family would like to thank the Moncton Extra-Mural Program, especially to Kinderd, Lise and Sara. Also to his nephew Vincent Melanson, who took care of him and whatever he needed.
