It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Belliveau, 95, of Villa du Repos, Moncton and formerly of Irishtown, on Saturday, June 30th, 2018.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Auguste and the late Nathalie (née: Drisdelle) Bourgeois.
Mom loved the simple things in life: a Sunday drive with dad, planting her flowers and herbs, and knitting; her grateful children and grandchildren will be forever wrapped in her special afghans. She enjoyed spending time visiting family and friends and reminiscing over a hearty glass of wine. Mom was fun loving, laughed often and was happiest when we were all together for a family meal. Prior to retirement, Marie had worked at Eaton’s. She also took great pleasure from her faith which she celebrated at St. Lawrence O’Toole and St Bernard parishes.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Andy) Cowan of Riverview; four sons: Don (Irene) of Miramichi, Tom (Brenda) of Sackville, NS, Allan (Jocelyne) of Irishtown and Michael (Michele) of Ammon; eight grandchildren: Sharon, Ricky, Nathalie, Andrea, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Allison and Matthew; four great grandchildren: Samantha, Riley, Andrew, Graham and soon to arrive a fifth; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard in 2006; five sisters: Olive, Mélendée, Mémée, Maria and Ella and also by three brothers; Raymond, Aldor and Gerry.
At Marie’s request, a private funeral service will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901).
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to the IWK Children Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Mom will be forever in our hearts and missed by all who knew her.
A special thank you to the staff of Villa de Repos Moncton for their care and kindness over the past years.
